The US authorities in Iraq are printing millions of banknotes with the face of Saddam Hussein on them - in defiance of their own ban on the former leader's image.

Officials say they have been forced to begin printing 250 dinar notes - which carry a picture of a young Saddam in jacket and tie - in an effort stem a growing cash crisis.
